Celery Salad with Garlic-Yogurt Dressing

With just a few simple ingredients, this perfect summer dish delivers layers of texture and flavour — bright, creamy, zesty, and just a little bit spicy. Whether you’re serving it at a summer lunch, packing it for work, or adding it to a larger spread, this is celery at its best.

Why Celery Hearts & What Are They?

Celery Hearts are the inner stalks — pale green, delicately flavoured, and incredibly tender. They’re trimmed, and ready to use, making prep quick and easy without compromising on quality.

Celery Salad with Garlic-Yogurt Dressing Recipe

Serves 4-6 as a side

Ingredients

For the dressing:

  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced into a paste
  • 30g plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper or chilli flakes
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

For the Love Celery Salad:

  • 63g thickly cut almonds
  • 1 pack Celery Hearts, thinly sliced (reserve leaves)
  • 3 spring onion, thinly sliced
  • 40g chopped fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish

Method

1. Make the Dressing
Peel and finely mince the garlic, then use the side of your knife to mash it into a paste. Add it to a mixing bowl with the yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, chilli flakes, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

2. Toast the Almonds
In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the almonds for 2–4 minutes until golden and fragrant. Stir often and don’t walk away — they go from golden to burnt quickly. Transfer to a plate and allow to cool.

3. Assemble the Salad
To the bowl of dressing, add the sliced Celery Hearts, scallions, mint, and all but two tablespoons of the toasted almonds. Toss until everything is evenly coated. Finish with reserved almonds, extra mint, and roughly chopped celery leaves for colour and extra flavour.

Serve immediately.
